Desert hues, soft lighting, and natural materials reflecting the Sahara’s beauty.
Merzouga is a small Saharan village in southeastern Morocco, known as the gateway to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Built by French troops after the difficult Battle of Tafilalet (1916–1932), the area has long been home to ancient fortified villages and nomadic traditions. Today, Merzouga stands as one of Morocco’s most captivating destinations, drawing travelers from around the world to experience the magic of the desert.
At Riad Sultana Tangier, the Merzouga Room is an artistic interpretation of this timeless landscape. Its design blends warm desert tones, soft lighting, and handcrafted details that evoke the colors of the Moroccan Sahara. Staying here is like journeying south a sensory voyage through sand, silence, and sunlight, all within the elegance of Riad Sultana Tangier.
